Medical Care Decisions

Thomasville Medical Center will follow the instructions expressed in a patient's advance directive to the extent required by law. For patients who are unable to make, or make known, medical decisions and do not have an advance directive, Thomasville Medical Center will get consent from the patient's spouse, parents, guardian, nearest relative or other person authorized to speak for the patient.

There may be a time when you are called upon to make a difficult decision about life-sustaining treatment, either for yourself or a family member. Thomasville Medical Center has an Ethics Committee to help you in such circumstances.

When living alone or need additional assurance that help is at your finger tips 24 hours a day, Lifelife Emergency Response may be just the help you or your loved one needs.
