Daily Activities
Several different types of therapy groups are offered throughout the course of the day. Group psychotherapy sessions are provided by professional counselors. They serve as an opportunity for patients to resolve emotional conflict and learn new ways of coping with illness, aging, and grief. Patients are also offered various Recreational Therapy and Activity programs throughout the day. These groups are designed to help patients decrease negative feelings and behaviors, enhance self-confidence, improve concentration and develop coping skills.
Nursing staff offer educational groups on topics such as health, safety, and medication management. When indicated, alternate tracts that consist of specialty groups are offered to meet the identified needs of the patient population.
