Thomasville Medical Center welcomes Kathie Johnson as the new president for Thomasville Medical Center. Johnson joined the TMC staff in July as Chief Operating Officer and had service for the past ten years as Vice President of Nursing and Patient Care Services at Forsyth Medical Center, also a Novant Health facility. Gabrielle Causby, who served as president for the past eight years, left the post to serve as president of the new Novant Health community hospital, Kernersville Medical Center, that broke ground in September of this year.
Johnson received her BS in Nursing from State University of New York at Buffalo, received her MS in Adult Health Nursing/Nursing Administration also from SUNY of Buffalo, an MBA in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina and A Ph.D. in Healthcare Administration from Kennedy-Western University in Thousand Oaks, California.
Andrea West, Human Resources Director for Thomasville Medical Center, stated “We are looking forward to working with Kathie as president of the organization. She has a proven successful tenue with our organization and wants to keep Thomasville Medical Center moving forward as a premier medical facility for our community. She has been with us for the past four months as Chief Operating Officer and she is anxious to get more involved with our community.” Johnson will be hosting open forums with all employees this week.
Johnson is married and has two children.
