Alzheimer's Disease Treatment

Electrocardiogram (ECG or EKG)

An electrocardiogram (ECG or EKG) is one of the simplest and fastest procedures used to evaluate the heart. Electrodes (small, plastic patches) are placed at certain locations on the chest, arms and legs. When the electrodes are connected to an ECG machine by lead wires, the electrical activity of the heart is measured, interpreted and printed out for the physician's information and further interpretation.

Electroencephalogram (EEG Testing)

An electroencephalogram (EEG) is a test that measures and records the electrical activity of your brain by using sensors (electrodes) attached to your head.

Electromyography (EMG Testing)

Electromyography (EMG) measures the response of muscles and nerves to electrical activity. It is used to help determine muscle conditions that might be causing muscle weakness, including muscular dystrophy and nerve disorders.

Emotional Problem Evaluation

A series of tests and observations to assess emotional issues.

Family Counseling

Family counseling is the treatment of emotional disorder of a family unit. It is based on the belief that the family is a unique social system with its own structure and patterns of communication. Any change in one member of the family affects both the family structure and each member individually.

Functional Capacity Evaluations

Functional Capacity Evaluations are performed to determine an individual's overall ability to perform physical work. The evaluation describes a person's maximum capacity in seven major areas including: dynamic strength, mobility, coordination, endurance, position tolerance, balance and fine motor.

Group Counseling

Individual counseling facilitates the exploration and resolution of personal problems and issues according to the needs of the individual.

Inpatient Behavioral Health Program

For inpatient behavioral health programs, the patient is admitted to the hospital. Psychiatric nurses, technicians and therapists make up each individual's care team, which provides both support and education to the client, as well as their families and/or support system. These professionals work with the individual's primary care physician, psychiatrist, psychologist and/or therapist, so that the maximum benefit from the inpatient stay is achieved. The goal is to ensure that the individual's transition back into the community is a smooth one.

Intensive Outpatient Behavioral Health Program

An intensive outpatient program is just what the name implies--"a more intensive level of outpatient services." Therapists and other professionals manage this program and provide various group and individual therapies in a stable, safe environment. The individual learns coping skills by exploring his or her own environment outside of treatment.

Urinary Incontinence Treatment

Loss of bladder control is not a disease. Rather, it is a sign that a problem may exist. Regular leakage of urine can occur with certain movements, during pregnancy or times of stress. When leakage of urine becomes frequent or severe enough to become a social or hygienic problem, it is called urinary incontinence. Leakage of urine that cannot be controlled should prompt the patient to see a doctor. Proper diagnosis and treatment may correct the problem and ease the symptoms of urinary incontinence.
