Visitor Information and Resources
Whether you are a patient or a visitor, Thomasville Medical Center wants to make your experience memorable. To help us reach that goal, weve prepared useful information to assist you in preparing for your visit.
Visitor Information
The main hospital doors are open from 6am to 9pm daily. Should you need to visit a patient after 9pm, you will be required to check in with the staff in the Emergency Department to gain access. Visiting hours are flexible, except in the critical care unit and Behavioral Health. If you have questions, please call the nurse's station on the appropriate floor for any special visiting hours.
Condition Reports
Any personal information about a patient's diagnosis and treatment must come from the doctor. This medical information is only available to the patient or designated members of the immediate family. To further protect our patients' confidentialty and privacy, information regarding patient's condition will not be provided via telephone unless special arrangements are made with the patient's nurse.
Patient Information
To locate a patient by room number or telephone, call the medical center's main number at 336-472-2000, and ask for the patient by their full name. Due to patient confidentiality, operators do not report on the conditions of patients. They may, however, transfer calls to nurse's stations.
Smoking Policy
Thomasville Medical Center is a smoke free facility. Visitors, employees and doctors are not permitted to smoke inside the hospital or other buildings on the campus. A smoking area for visitors and those patients who have their doctor's permission is located outside the emergency room entrance of the hospital. We understand how difficult it is for some people to be unable to smoke while in the hospital. Your doctor and caregivers can assist you with tools to help you cope during your stay here or in obtaining appropriate support to stop smoking.
