Gabrielle Causby, president of Thomasville Medical Center, Roland Bibeau, Vice President and Chief Nursing Executive, and Tom Pogue, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer all recently earned board certification in healthcare management, advancing to Diplomat status of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), an international professional society of 30,000 healthcare leaders.
ACHE President and Chief Executive Officer, Thomas Dolan, PhD. FACHE, CAE, notified Thomasville Medical Center's administrative team that they had passed the Board of Governors Examination in Healthcare Management in early March 2006. "Because healthcare management ultimately affects the people in our communities, it so important to have a standard of excellence that is promoted by a professional society," says Dolan. "Earning board certification from ACHE is one way that healthcare leaders can show that they are committed to providing quality service."
To earn board certification, candidates must successfully complete a comprehensive exam covering subjects related to healthcare management, demonstrate their continuing education and professional experience and participate in community activities.
"We are extremely proud of all three of the TMC executives who now join an elite 5900 healthcare executives who presently hold Diplomat status", shares Jane Wilder, Community Relations manager for Thomasville Medical Center. "For one member of the administrative healthcare team to achieve such a goal is awesome, but when you hear that all three executive team members set this as their goal and have achieved such prestigious recognition at the same time, we are extremely proud and offer them our congratulations on their recent achievement. They each serve as great leadership examples to TMC employees and lead by example in encouraging staff to further their self both professional, personally and make a positive difference in the lives of those we serve."
