Thomasville teams with the Forsyth Medical Center Diabetes and Nutrition Services to assist people with diabetes management and nutrition education on site at Thomasville Medical Center.
Our programs are recognized by the American Diabetes Association as meeting the national standards of diabetes self-management training.
We offer a variety of educational opportunities for you to learn about your diabetes. Our Diabetes and Nutrition Services can help you decide which program suits your educational needs. We offer nutritional assessments and education for diabetes and other types of diseases and medical conditions.
Programs and Training
This ten-hour group program is designed to provide in-depth education on managing diabetes.
Survival Skills is a three-hour group program designed to provide basic education on managing diabetes.
This program provides in-depth education on managing gestational diabetes and pre-existing diabetes and pregnancy.
This training session is an individual appointment to instruct the patient on insulin, administration or for insulin pump evaluation and training.
This program is for personalized nutritional assessment and intervention for diabetes and other medical conditions.

Enrollment and Fees
Enrollments with Thomasville Medical Center Diabetes and Nutrition services are made by physician referral. If you are interested in attending any diabetes or nutrition education programs, talk with your doctor. Your doctor may call us at (336)718-6770 to schedule an appointment. Fees are charged for all of our services. You should consult your individual insurance company to verify coverage.
Thomasville Medical Center Diabetes and Nutrition Services staff includes certified diabetes educators, certified insulin pump trainers, registered nurses and registered dieticians, among others.
