Joint Camp

Patients who come to Thomasville Medical Center's Joint Camp receive more than a knee or hip replacement. They also experience a return to the activities that bring joy to their life—gardening, family activities, traveling, golf.

In less than a week after surgery, Joint Camp participants begin their physical therapy, share meals, and victories with the Joint Camp team and start a process that enables them to lead happier, more active lives.

Joint Camp patients have another advantage, too—an open door policy that permits family members to spend as much time with you as their schedule permits.

Joint Camp caters to the needs of patients in a unique atmosphere. You’re on a first-name basis with your doctors, nurses, and physical therapists. There’s a home-like setting with comfortable furnishings for visiting family.

In this atmosphere of camaraderie, caring, and sharing, patients receive comprehensive treatment and group support. They share in their successes and help each other in their setbacks. They recover more quickly and go home sooner to the people they love and the things they love to do.
