is the number three cause of death among Americans. Novant Health Thomasville Medical Center has been treating lung disease for more than 40 years.
Our respiratory services are some of the premier diagnostic and treatment services
in North Carolina. Thomasville Medical Center's respiratory services have been recognized as a "Quality Respiratory
Care" organization and has been awarded a certificate for outstanding service each
year since 2004.
Thomasville Medical Center's Respiratory Care Center is housed in new state-of-the-art offices. The center provides leading-edge respiratory-care services to Davidson County and surrounding counties. Board-certified internists and family practice physicians direct the care offered
through the center's respiratory services, which is staffed with licensed, registered,
respiratory-care practitioners. We offer diagnosis, treatment and education for
conditions ranging from asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pneumonia,
thrombo-embolic disease, smoking and interstitial lung disease.

Asthma/COPD Education
Asthma/COPD education is offered to the public as a free service. Patient education is provided by all of our therapists. More focused and in-depth coaching is provided by therapists and a respiratory therapy patient educator.
