Gift Types

We receive gifts from corporations and individuals to support the many programs and services we offer. No gift is too big or too small.

By investing in Novant Health Thomasville Medical Center, you are investing in keeping your care as close to home as possible. In addition to supporting healthy communities, philanthropy can help you minimize your tax burden and increase your financial flexibility. Income taxes, capital gains taxes and gift and estate taxes may all be reduced through your generous giving. Philanthropy also helps to increase your estate planning flexibility and options.

Unrestricted Gifts

Unrestricted gifts are encouraged because they provide the greatest flexibility to meet our most critical needs. These gifts are dedicated to the highest and best use in the particular year in which they are given.

Commemorative Gifts

Our Commemorative Gift Program enables you to recognize and honor those caregivers whose love and kindness have touched you and also enables you to support patients and families faced with life-threatening illness.

A gift to Thomasville Medical Center Foundation is a meaningful alternative to sending flowers when a loved one or friend dies. Often a family wishes to recognize the care provided by the compassionate staff in each of these very specialized areas.

You may also invite others to make contributions, in memory of your loved one, by using the suggested language below, which can be added to the obituary in your local paper:

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Novant Health Thomasville Medical Center Foundation to benefit the (state your area of interest) at Thomasville Medical Center. Please send your gift to the Thomasville Medical Center Foundation, Post Office Box 789,Thomasville, North Carolina 27361.

Endowed Gifts

Endowed funds can be created with a gift of $25,000 or more. Only the income is used for the purposes you select, or funds can be added to the present endowment that keeps on giving for the life of the hospital.

Pledges

Pledges provide you an opportunity to make a larger gift than you otherwise thought possible by committing your gift over a period of up to five years. Please contact the Foundation concerning this option.

Matching Gifts

Many companies will match your gift to Thomasville Medical Center making your gift doubly important. Often retirees are also eligible to participate. The required matching gift form for your company should be available in the company's Personnel Office. Complete the form and return it to the Foundation with your gift.

Gifts of Assets

Creative gifts of assets can include stocks, bonds, and property (real estate and personal property such as artwork, automobiles, jewelry, etc.). Please contact the Foundation concerning this option.
