Novant Health Thomasville Medical Center is a not-for-profit community hospital providing medical
care for the community through 24-hour service, outreach programs, health education
and support.
Thomasville
Medical Center exists to improve the health of the communities we serve. We do this
by providing all the facets of healthcare– the facilities, the technology and the
people—to help everyone who comes to us live full and healthy lives.
We take our mission out to the community. This includes hundreds of programs that
serve our patients, our neighbors and some of our community's most vulnerable citizens.
We provide charity and community benefit care, which includes our financial commitment
to providing unreimbursed health services both to individuals with Medicaid coverage
and to those who are treated in our Emergency Department, which provides 24-hour
medical care to everyone, regardless of their ability to pay.
We sponsor community health education and support groups; partnerships with other
organizations to provide outreach services; and community events and screenings.
We participate in community initiatives such as Communities in Schools, United Way,
and partner with a variety of civic and community organizations.
Our outreach programs are either donated or provided at little cost—a commitment
that comes from our heritage as a not-for-profit organization.
We were the first community hospital nationwide to launch StrokeSense to raise awareness
about the warning signs of stroke.
We're proud of our community service programs that help improve the health and lives
of people in Davidson County and the surrounding communities. And we're proud, most
of all, of our employees who give of their skills and of themselves.
